This training course is offered in 2 day, 5 day, 7 day and up to 21 day training modules. The buyer may choose a training module that best fits their personal schedule, budget and unique training needs.
DESCRIPTION
The Hostile Control Tactics© produced High Risk VIP Close Protection Course was designed to educate and train attendees in the common tasks, physical techniques, and operational tactics used by government-approved close protection teams working in designated ‘high risk’ regions overseas.
TECHNICAL STANDARDS
The curriculum presented in this course, including the training facility, instructor cadre, and methodologies used by Hostile Control Tactics in the delivery of training have passed an onsite inspection and been approved by United States Department of Defense (DoD) prime contractors. Course participants receive identical training to that presented in the DoD-sponsored Theater-wide Internal Security Services TWISS Contract as it pertains to high-risk protective security services missions in regions of the Middle-east.
- This is not a firearms training course.
- Attendees must arrive at the course already comfortable with handling a pistol and carbine.
- Understand the learning objectives and purpose of this course — be prepared to acquire a deep working knowledge of the duties, responsibilities, and common tasks associated with Executive Protection / Close Protection.

- $750.00 per person $1200 per each small group of three.

LOGISTICS & LODGING
This course is held in Denver, Colorado and also in Savannah, Georgia. When making your purchase select a location and date from the drop-down menu. All out-of-town course attendees will receive overnight lodging at a quality nearby hotel during the entire three days of training.
Your tuition payment includes the following; Airport pick up upon arrival, overnight lodging during the course, a Certificate of Training, and a certificate of Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) competency. Finally, you will receive assistance in preparing your CV-resume and new hire package acceptable for employers.
GEAR TO BRING
The following equipment is REQUIRED and must be brought when you arrive for training. *If you don’t have some of these items we make them available for temporary rental:
- Duty Handgun – A duty-type, law enforcement handgun. *If you do not own a handgun, one will be available for rental at the course for a price of $15.00 per day. Ammunition of various caliber firearms is available for sale at the facility.
- Magazines or Speed-loader – If using a semi-automatic pistol, bring a minimum of 4 magazines, (5 if the magazine capacity is less than 10). If using a revolver, bring a minimum of 5 speed loaders. *If you do not own these items they will be provided free of cost at the course.
- Holster, Belt, and Ammunition Carrier Pouches – The holster must be department or agency issue, duty-type (patrol), strong-side directional draw, equipped with a handgun retention device and securely fastened to the gun belt. Speed-loader and/or magazine pouches must also be equipped with a retention device.
- Two-way Radio – If you own a set of your own. If not, they will be provided for you.
- Eye Protection, Ear Protection, and Baseball Style Cap – Safety glasses must be of the wrap around type or employ side panels. If wearing prescription glasses, they must be covered with safety glasses unless they meet the above requirements. Earplugs or earmuffs (preferred), and a baseball cap with a bill to deflect ejected brass must also be worn. NOTE: Students will NOT be allowed on the range without wraparound or side-panel safety glasses.
- Duty Flashlight – Law enforcement, hand-held, duty-type flashlight capable of one-handed operation.
- Note-Taking Material – Pen, pencil, and paper to take notes within the classroom and on the range. A jumbo permanent marker for use on the range.
- Knee and Elbow Pads – Knee and elbow pads are optional for kneeling and prone position shooting.
PACKING LIST
Bring comfortable, loose fit casual clothing suitable for all day running, shooting and tactical movements. Rugged 5.11 style pants, Docker® type slacks, and at least two or three pairs of blue jeans are ideal. No camouflage or military style uniform or attire allowed. Running shoes or comfortable tactical boots are perfect. Keep in mind, your pants must be able to accommodate a pistol holster. Absolutely no open toe sandals. If you own knee pads, eye protection (goggles), and ear protection bring them. These are essential safety items. Bring a Camelbak or water hydration system during days of extreme outdoor heat. A laptop computer is not mandatory, but will prove helpful in academic and mission planning segments of the course.
PROTOCOL FOR BRINGING YOUR OWN FIREARMS
If you own a pistol or carbine, bring it with you and at least 500 rounds of ammunition for both firearms. If you do not bring a firearm, we have plenty in stock for rental. The daily firearm rental fee is $20.00 per day. *Check with the airlines for firearm transportation rules and requirements.
